Elizabeth Courtauld Surgery is looking to recruit an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join their friendly team for 5-6 sessions per week. The successful candidate will need to see patients for minor illnesses and work autonomously.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing care for the presenting patient, from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.
- Delivering a high standard of patient care, using advanced autonomous clinical skills, and a broad and in-depth theoretical knowledge base.
- Assessing, diagnosing and treating patients’ conditions, initiating direct referrals as appropriate.
- Providing expert advice to patients, carers and colleagues.
- As an independent prescriber: prescribing safe, effective and appropriate medication, as defined by current legislative framework.
The successful candidate:
- will be registered with the NMC.
- should already be working in primary care.
- will be qualified, and experienced, in working as an independent prescriber.
- will be able to work with minimal supervision.
- will be required to demonstrate critical thinking in the decision-making process.
