The Ross Practice has a fantastic opportunity for a Practice Nurse to join our team.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Undertaking health assessments, administering medication and treatments, and performing diagnostic tests.
  • Providing and evaluating a range of health interventions to ensure that patients’ health and social care needs are met.
  • General health and well-being promotion as well as creating individual, person-centred plans for patients with, or at risk of, a long term condition.
  • Managing and treating long-term conditions, in line with national and local policies and the practice needs.
  • Reviewing medication for therapeutic effectiveness, in accordance with evidence-based practice as well as national and practice protocols; working with patients to support their adherence to prescribed treatments.
  • Prioritising health problems and intervening appropriately, to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care.
  • Supporting and managing the health needs of women presenting for sexual health and contraception, and cervical cytology consultations.
  • Implementing, and participating in, vaccination and immunisation programmes for both adults and children, including patients travelling abroad.
  • Meeting the needs of patients presenting for opportunistic wound care.
  • Hypertension review and management.
  • Running asthma, COPD and diabetes clinics and reviews.
  • New patient and health checks.

The Ross Practice located in Harlow with easy access to the M11 and train services.

We are made up of 4 Partners, nursing team, management team and a supportive administration team.

We are part of Harlow South PCN.

We are a SystmOne Practice which also operates AccuRx and Ardens.
