We are currently looking for an enthusiastic part-time or full time Administrator to join our friendly team at The Pump House Surgery, Earls Colne.
There’s more to our Administrator roles than just answering the phone and making appointments.
In this essential front-line role at the Practice, administrators help patients to access the right services, assist with keeping health records accurate and up-to-date and ensure that appointment bookings are well-managed.
You would need to be flexible and able to work extra hours to support colleagues sickness and holiday absence.
Duties as follows:
- Welcoming patients to the surgery
- Taking telephone calls from patients and booking appointments
- Opening, scanning and matching incoming post
- Actioning tasks on the clinical system
- Undertaking a variety of administrative duties, to assist the smooth running of the practice
About the Candidate:
- You will ideally have experience of working in a busy environment, have a positive attitude with the ability to demonstrate good team working, communication skills and an excellent standard of patient care.
- We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable, and friendly individuals who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service:
- General Practice experience and a knowledge of SystmOne would be an advantage, although full training and ongoing support will be provided.
- You will have excellent communication skills with a clear and polite telephone manner.
- You will work in a polite, confidential and discreet manner, respecting patients at all times.
- You will have experience of working with the general public, being sensitive and empathic in distressing situations.
- You will be confident to work as part of a team and be able to think on your feet independently.
- Strong IT and administration skills required
