About the Role
In this front-line role at the practice, our Medical Receptionists known as Care Navigators help patients to access the right services, assist with keeping health records accurate and up-to-date and ensure that appointment bookings are well-managed.

The main responsibilities of the role include, greeting and directing all patients, making appointments, accepting and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc. Dealing with requests for information and managing problems and complaints, along with advising patients of Practice procedures, as well as answer the telephone promptly and politely whilst maintaining high levels of patient focus.

About the Candidate
The candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, have a good telephone manner, be computer literate, be able to work under pressure and always maintain confidentiality. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team. Having General Practice experience and knowledge of SystmOne would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.

Work pattern:
Monday to Friday 27.5hrs, 5.5hours per day, shifts allocated on a monthly basis, candidate must be available during surgery opening times Monday to Friday 0800-1830
