Practice Nurse

We are looking to recruit a part time motivated, committed Registered Nurse who would have an interest in training to become a Practice Nurse to join our friendly team across two sites in Wickford, Essex.

The successful candidate will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be responsible for ensuring safe delivery of care for our practice population, alongside –
9 GPs, a large clerical team, 2 Nurse Practitioners, 3 Practice Nurses and 2 Senior Health Care Assistants.

Main clinical duties include:-

• Supporting an established nursing team with long term condition reviews, cervical cytology, childhood immunisations, vaccinations, and travel health, wound management, conduct health checks and screening, assist with minor surgical procedures and perform ECGs.
• This post would suit a newly qualified nurse with an interest in Primary Care and health promotion. Full training will be provided to develop your skill set if you are newly-qualified or new to Primary Care.

Personal Specification:-

• Essential – RGN qualification with NMC registration, willing to undertake mandatory training and participate in CPD activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
• Desirable – Keen to learn and progress in an exciting career as a Practice Nurse.
